01.03.2004 Covidence BVMA Membership

Frankfurt, March 01, 2004 -- Covidence passed the BVMA (Bundesverband Medizinischer Auftragsinstitute / Federal Association of Medical Commission Institutes) admission audit in Autumn 2003 and has been a member of the BVMA since January 2004.

The BVMA was founded in 1991 with the goal of establishing a collective representation of medical service providers in Germany. The BVMA membership currently consists of 16 scientific service providers, which are primarily concerned with the clinical development of pharmaceutical products for the German and international pharmaceutical industry. The BVMA is particularly committed on issues of patient safety, as well as to the constant advancement of scientific methodology, so that the significance of research results can be optimised for risk/benefit-analysis. The BVMA’s members therefore undertake to participate in regular training courses, to comply to GCP in the clinical development of pharmaceutical products and to guarantee uniform standards of quality assurance.
